For more information, click here. View All Promotions, T-Shirt Days & REMINDER Scholarship Deadlines Approaching! Applications for the Student Volunteer Scholarship are due no later than March 31. This annual award recognizes outstanding student participation as a service volunteer (canteen attendant, donor aide, etc.) at Miller-Keystone Blood Center, by a graduating high school senior. Applications for the High School Blood Donor Recruitment Scholarship are due no later than April 30. This annual award recognizes high school blood drive chairpersons for their efforts in stimulating interest and increasing the available blood supply in our region. For more information, click here.

The swine-flu pandemic is creating unexpected problems for the nation's blood supply—shrinking the number of blood donors and raising questions about whether the flu can be spread through a transfusion. "We are very worried about the impact of swine flu," says Marsha Springel, donor resources manager at Miller-Keystone Blood Center.
